Air Côte d’Ivoire, Air Senegal Sign Codeshare Agreement

Air Côte d’Ivoire has signed a codesharing partnership with Air Senegal. Air Côte d’Ivoire states that the partnership is a way of integrating resources and expertise in order to serve the customers of both airlines better.

“This commercial relationship will enable each of our companies to issue tickets on each other’s flights. We have gone ahead with a sharing out of our flights on certain routes,” Air Côte d’Ivoire states.

In the codeshare, Air Senegal will now operate six out of the fourteen Dakar-Abidjan flights initially operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire. Also, Air Senegal will now operate seven out of the fourteen Abidjan-Cotonou flights initially operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire.

Mr. Rene Decurey, Air Côte d’Ivoire’s General Manager, states: “Through this alliance we are putting into synergy our means and our expertise to give you more flexibility for your trips. So don’t be surprised if you purchase your tickets at Air Côte d’Ivoire but travel on Air Senegal or vice versa.”

Strategic partnerships among African airlines has been identified as one of the ways to building a more resilient and flourishing continental aviation industry. This has always been the advocacy of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) and other civil aviation organisations in Africa.
