Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria Holds 2022 National Transport Summit Abuja November

Dr. Bashir Jamoh, President of National Institute of Transport Administration, and Chief Host of National Transportation Summit 2022

The Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA) will hold the 2022 National Transport Summit from November 29 –December 1, 2022 at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.

The all-important summit, with the theme, Transportation Safety and Security Administration in Nigeria, will attract high-level transport professionals from all modes of transportation and will provide forum for expert discussions expected to contribute immensely to Nigeria’s transport development programmes.

Key dignitaries at the event will also include Alhaji Muazu Jaji Sambo, Minister of Transportation and Special Guest of Honour; Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, Chairman, MTN Foundation; Dr. Bashir Yusuf Jamoh, President & Chairman of Governing Council, who is the Chief Host of the Summit; as well as Professor Innocent Ogwude, Chairman, Council for Registration of Transport and Keynote Speaker of the Summit.

Information released by Mrs. Chizoba Anyika, National Publicity Secretary of the Institute, revealed that the Summits will also dwell on sub-themes on maritime safety and security in Nigeria; Safety and Security of Rail Transportation in Nigeria; as well as Safety and Security of Road Transportation in Nigeria. The event will further discuss Strategic Issues in Transport Safety and Security in Nigeria, as well as the value of life for the evaluation of safety and security in transportation.

The Summit, which shall commence at 10am daily, holds at a period when there is crucial need to re-position Nigeria’s transportation sector for effective support to Nigeria’s successful participation in the emerging trade and business environment in Nigeria and the Africa region.
