…Tanzania Tourist Board, Air Tanzania Company Limited Sign MoU For Tourism Promotions
The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), the country’s national carrier, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for travel and tourism promotions.
According to the two-year MoU, TTB will carry out special training for ATCL staff including Pilots and Cabin Crew on how to promote Destination Tanzania to passengers aboard. ATCL will also have the opportunity to showcase its services on TTB’s shows.
The Managing Director of TTB, Ms. Devota Mdachi, expresses her hopes and expectations on Destination Tanzania. She says: “We want Tanzania to be seen as the best destination in Africa, not just a safari destination.
Investors traditionally focused on the northern tourism circuit of Tanzania, but now we are trying to prove that there are thousands of opportunities elsewhere in Tanzania.”
Chairman of the Board of Directors of TTB, Judge Thomas Mihayo, says ATCL and TTB are interlinked institutions when it comes to the development of tourism noting that ATCL will include Destination Tanzania films in its in-flight TV entertainment list.
