  • Over 400 Business Aircraft Now Operating In Africa

ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa has “successfully renewed its approvals from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as well as multiple African civil aviation authorities.” These approvals cover Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia. Execujet says the accreditations are the most held by any MRO in Africa.

ExecuJet reports that its facility at “Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport underwent the regulatory audits, assessing maintenance record traceability, engineering qualifications and certifications, and quality control systems to ensure full compliance with international standards.”

“Maintaining these approvals is more than a compliance requirement. It demonstrates our technical capability and the trust we have earned from regulators across Africa,” says Vince Goncalves, Regional VP Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services.

These renewals are coming at a time when business aviation activity continues to gain momentum on the continent.  Goncalves stated that “Africa’s business aviation market is expanding rapidly, with more than 400 business aircraft now in operation.” He added that, “we are witnessing notable growth with new aircraft entering service, and international charter operators positioning fleets in the region to meet rising demand. This underscores the continent’s growing importance in the global business aviation landscape.”

As part of its ongoing capability expansion, ExecuJet says it is also “securing approval for its newly installed in-house spray booth, enabling touch-up paintwork on aircraft components up to 1.5 metres in size.”
