Cabo Verde Airlines says it is commencing flight operations to Lagos, Nigeria, and Luanda, Angola by the end of 2019.
Cabo Verde Airlines’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Raul Andrade, says the flights are strategically targeted at connecting passengers from these regions to South America, Europe and the US.
“Besides Dakar that we operate before, our plan is to start Lagos and Luanda next December. The flights from Lagos and Luanda mainly will give opportunity to these markets to connect to Brazil and USA,” he states.
According to him, Cabo Verde Airlines will also facilitate tourism in Africa as it will provide vital connectivity. He notes also that Cabo Verde offers opportunities for leisure and retreat which visitors from and to Africa can explore on their way to and from the US or South America.
He adds: “Nigeria has a huge potential in terms of major traffic and Cabo Verde could be a good destination for Nigerians for short vacations, family vacations, workshops and others.”
