EgyptAir will commence twice weekly flight services between Cairo and Kano from August 01, 2021. The Airline said it will deploy its Boeing 737-800 aircraft to operate these services.

According to EgyptAir, the flights will depart every Sunday and Thursday from Cairo to Kano.

Muharram Abdel Rahman, EgyptAir Lagos General Manager, said:  “We are excited to start the twice-weekly flight from Cairo to Kano; these flights are a positive step forward after COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions.”

“Egypt is one of the most preferred tourism destinations in Africa due to our cultural and religious history. We currently fly over 350 Nigerians for tourism purposes to Egypt and we believe the opening of this route will boost our tourism drive. We also offer ‘visa on arrival’ for tourists traveling in groups from Nigeria,” Abdel Rahman added.

According to the airline, travellers must present a certificate of a negative COVID PCR before boarding the flights.
