Following the signing of a collaboration agreement, Ethiopian Airlines has “chosen Euroairlines to manage its domestic and international routes.” According to Euroairlines, “with this alliance, the African airline will have access to the Spanish company’s extensive network of travel agents, OTAs, aggregators and consolidators in more than 60 countries through its IATA Q4-291 plate.”
Euroairlines CEO Antonio Lopez-Lázaro said that this agreement strengthens and consolidates the expansion of the Spanish company, noting that “Ethiopian Airlines is an emblematic airline and historical leader in Africa, which allows Euroairlines to continue its growth strategy in this continent.”
Euroairlines’ Director of Markets and Channels, Guillermo López-Lázaro added that the alliance will on the other hand “allow Ethiopian Airlines to develop connectivity with Central and South America through the Madrid hub.”
“Ethiopian has created Africa-wide and transcontinental air connectivity networks linking its main hub, Addis Ababa to the rest of the world. The airline serves 136 international passenger and cargo destinations, including 63 African cities, with daily and multiple flights with a minimum layover in Addis”, adds Euroairlines.
