Madagascar Airlines has unveiled its new Business Lounge and the Madagascar Airlines Agency at the inauguration of the new National Terminal of Ivato Airport.

On the sidelines of the inauguration of the new National Terminal of Ivato Airport supported by Ravinala Airports, Madagascar Airlines commissioned “several infrastructures intended to significantly improve the journey of its passengers. As the main domestic operator at this terminal, the company is taking a new step in its transformation plan, serving its customers and the development of Malagasy air transport.”

Madagascar Airlines noted that the “new Business Lounge officially opens its doors on April 28, 2026 and welcomes its first passengers on April 29. Designed on a surface area of 122 m², it offers four distinct areas — catering, relaxation, family area and workspace — designed so that the journey begins well before boarding.”

Madagascar Airlines said: “As soon as you walk through the doors, the tone is set: works by Malagasy artists adorn the walls, the island’s landscapes serve as a backdrop, and some pieces of furniture have been made from recycled materials and local resources, highlighting the know-how of Malagasy craftsmen. The catering offer extends this immersion: menus renewed every week highlight Malagasy gastronomy, from traditional specialties to refined cuisine.”

“A place where international comfort and Malagasy authenticity meet — to make every departure a memorable experience. Access to the lounge is reserved for Business Class passengers and Gold and Platinum members of the Valisoa Club loyalty programme. Economy Class passengers can also benefit from it, for a fee at the branch or via the call center. The lounge is available two hours before departure until boarding.” Madagascar Airlines added.

Madagascar Airlines stated that “the Madagascar Airlines agency within the terminal has also been completely renovated. Customers will now find a space designed to facilitate every step — ticket purchases, changes, flight information — in a modern, accessible and welcoming setting, directly in the heart of the airport.”

Additionally, from this new national terminal, Madagascar Airlines confirms that it “provides connectivity to its provinces, from North to South, from East to West. With 10 destinations served, more than 100 flights per week in high season and nearly 372,000 passengers transported in 2025, the company confirms its role as a reference operator on the Malagasy domestic network. Its domestic flights are linked to the international connections of its partner airlines, ensuring continuity of travel for visitors who come to discover Madagascar and its regions.”

Chief Commercial Officer, Madagascar Airlines, Karl Andrianony said: “This inauguration symbolizes our commitment to providing our passengers with a travel experience they trust. Each improvement made to our infrastructure is a further step towards the company we aspire to be: modern, anchored in its Malagasy identity, and fully at the service of its customers.”
