Safarilink Aviation has added “afternoon frequencies on its popular Nairobi-Kisumu-Entebbe route, a development hailed as a major step forward for regional connectivity, tourism, and trade.”
According to Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), the launch was held at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), with Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Chairman Hon. Caleb Kositany as Guest of Honour. He was joined by Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, Principal Secretary for Higher Education and Research in the Ministry of Education; Safarilink Managing Director Mr. Alex Avedi; and JKIA Airport Manager Dr. Rose Koros.
KAA says, “the new service complements the daily morning flights Safarilink launched in December last year. The route links Nairobi to Entebe via Kisumu, offering business travelers and tourists faster, more reliable alternatives to lengthy road journeys.”
Hon. Kositany said: “This expansion connects key economic and leisure hubs, fostering growth across East Africa. Safarilink emphasized the route’s design for seamless same-day connections, reducing travel hassles and enhancing access to Lake Victoria’s tourism hotspots and trade corridors between Kenya and Uganda.”
KAA added that “the initiative aligns with the authority’s efforts to bolster airport infrastructure and promote sustainable aviation.”
