COVID 19: Domestic Nigerian Flights Still In Operation – FAAN

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has notified the general public that although all international flight operations have been suspended, passengers can still travel within Nigeria unhindered.

“We also use this  opportunity to request all Passengers and other stakeholders  to adhere strictly to all travel instructions and guidance in the interest of all,” the Authority also stressed.

Nigeria closed its airspace to international flights, except overflights and those on emergency. About 36 COVID-19 cases and one death have been reported in Nigeria, while government has urged airlines to adhere to safety procedures to help limit spread of COVID-19, which has infected more than 218,000 people and killed 8,800 in over 100 countries.

  2. I am currently in london on a visit due to covid-19 all flight have been suspended and i would like to know when the operation will start from london to Nigeria.

    1. The Nigerian Government announced extension of the ban on all flights in Nigeria by one month from May 7, 2020.

    1. Government has not announced the reopening of scheduled international flights in Nigeria, but hopefully soon. The domestic flights will start with Lagos and Abuja on July 8; PH, Owerri, Kano and Maiduguri on July 11, and all other domestic airports on July 15.
