ExecuJet MRO Services said it has been awarded the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification for its South Africa repair station.
This follows an intensive and comprehensive audit of ExecuJet MRO Services, its safety standards, processes, facilities and expertise by the FAA.
Vince Goncalves, ExecuJet MRO Services Vice President for Africa, explained: “The FAA certification is a valuable endorsement of our ongoing investment and focus on safety, quality and skills. It permits us to inspect, maintain and make alterations to US-registered aircraft, their engines, avionics, flight instruments and other accessories, at our Lanseria International Airport repair centre near Johannesburg, South Africa.”
ExecuJet MRO Services’ South African facility provides maintenance support for numerous makes and marques of aircraft. It also holds a number of airworthiness authority approvals from civil aviation authorities across sub-Sahara Africa.
ExecuJet’ revealed that its maintenance services are available on a 24-hour basis. This includes line and base maintenance activities as well as mobile repair services throughout the region for aircraft requiring support away from its main Lanseria facility.
“I would like to thank our team for their dedication and hard work to obtain this certification. Our operations have always complied with the required standards for FAR 145 certification and we’re delighted it has been formally recognised to this effect. The aviation industry relies on sound maintenance and we, as a provider, have a responsibility to ensure we do this to the highest standards,” Mr. Goncalves concluded.
