Nigerian Helicopter service provider Omni-Blu Aviation Limited (Omni-Blu) says: “Following an appeal against the decision of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) revoking Omni-Blu Aviation Limited (Omni-Blu) Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by its letter dated 30 January 2025, on allegations of infringement of Part 1.2.1.5 Nig.CARs, we are pleased and relieved to announce that Omni-Blu has been cleared of any wrongdoing and its Air Operators Certificate No. OBA/AOC/12-15/002, reinstated.”

According to Omni-Blu, NCAA through its letter stated that “Omni-Blu Aviation deduced further evidence to prove that the download analysis and issuance of the falsified readout report for avionics equipment on the Sikorsky S76C+ helicopter with MSN 760486 and Reg. Mark 5N-BQG was facilitated by the aircraft Owner/Operator Eastwind Aviation Limited.”

Omni-Blu reports that, the NCAA determined amongst other things two major things that: “there was no active participation by Omni-Blu Aviation in the series of events leading up to the falsification of the readout report”, and that “there was no intention to falsify or knowledge of the falsification on the part of OmniBlu Aviation.”

It is worthy of note that “2025 will be the tenth (10) year since OBA obtained its AOC and started commercial flight operations, never has she been implicated for any sharp practice or cutting of corners in other to obtain any certifications or approvals from the NCAA.” OBA says it “remains committed to its values, excellent service delivery, and compliance with regulation in the conduct of its business.”
