In a statement the Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Ms. Janet Oputa said: “The 20-year roadmap (2025–2045) marks a significant milestone, providing a structured pathway for the transformation of Nigeria’s aviation sector. Developed with ICAO’s Capacity Development and Implementation (CDI) unit, the plan aligns with national development priorities and global aviation standards.”

According to the statement, “CAMP focuses on critical pillars including infrastructure modernization, advanced technology integration (such as unmanned aerial systems), safety and security compliance, and the development of airport-based economic hubs (aerotropolis). It also emphasizes sustainability, private sector investment opportunities—particularly in MRO and cargo infrastructure—and the development of a future-ready aviation workforce.”
