Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced that President John Mahama has appointed Rev. Stephen Arthur as the Director-General of the GCAA.
According to the Ghana CAA, “His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana has in accordance with the advice of the Governing Board of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and in consultation with the Public Services Commission appoints Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur as the substantive Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).”
“Rev. Arthur was earlier announced by His Excellency, President Mahama as Acting Director-General in April 2025.” GCAA added.
Rev. Arthur is a seasoned aviation professional with more than twenty-five (25) years’ experience in the aviation sector. He has served as the director of Economic Regulation and Business Development Department at the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). He has also represented Ghana at international assemblies and also served on other key aviation bodies like the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).
