AFCAC To Get New SG, Bureau, Others

The African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) will get a new Secretary General (SG) at its 29thExtraordinary Plenary Session which is scheduled to hold on December 3, 2018 at Livingstone, Zambia.

AFCAC states: “The 29th AFCAC Plenary (Extraordinary) will take place at the Avani Victoria Falls Resort along Mosi-oa-Tunya Road in Livingstone, Zambia on 03 December 2018 at the kind invitation of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Zambia.”

“This Plenary Session of AFCAC will be devoted to the appointment of the new Secretary General of the Commission. AFCAC member States are invited to register now and send to the AFCAC Secretariat their credentials,” the Commission adds.

At the moment, Mr. Papa Atoumane Fall is the Secretary General of the Commission on acting capacity following the exit of Ms. Iyabo Sosina.

Also, the Commission states that it will get a new Bureau at its 30th Plenary Session which will hold on December 4, 2018 in Livingstone Zambia. It states: “The 30th AFCAC Plenary Session will be devoted to the election of the new Bureau of the Commission, as well as nomination of candidates for ICAO Council Elections and the Air Navigation Commission Elections.”

“The Plenary will also deliberate on crucial matters relating to development of AFCAC Work Programme for the triennium 2019-2021. This Plenary Session of AFCAC The AFCAC member States and Partner States and Regional Organizations are invited to register now and send to the AFCAC Secretariat their credentials,” it states.
